Tippy Connect was established in 2006 to engage young professionals in the Greater Lafayette area through professional development, community involvement and networking opportunities with current and future leaders. The organization has grown to over five hundred members, as well as numerous community partners. This growth has led Tippy Connect to move forward with its strategic plan to become the premier organization for young professionals in Tippecanoe County.

On October 28th, 2010, Tippy Connect will hold a Get Connected Membership Launch from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Lafayette Theatre, at Sixth and Main streets in downtown Lafayette. 

The event will serve as a callout for new members and an informational session about opportunities in the organization and the community.

Through this event, Tippy Connect, a part of Greater Lafayette Commerce, will transition to a paid membership. A gold membership, which will provide exclusive benefits, will cost $35 annually. A silver membership, which is free, will also be available to young professionals.

The organization's events this year include the Tippy Connect Gala on December 9th, 2010, at Ross-Ade Pavilion on the campus of Purdue University. The event will feature a silent auction, keynote speaker and celebration of the year's accomplishments. Tickets for the event, which are available now, will be $45 for gold members and $60 for silver members.
